Changes to the
2007-2008 Zone Calendar

Due to a new law created by the Legislature, some changes have been made to the 2007-2008 Zone Calendar.  The Zone Calendar is not identical to the K-12 Calendar, and there are three (3) significant differences that should be noted:
October 8, October 26 and February 1.

  • October 8 and February 1st are Teacher Planning Days for Professional Development in non-Zone schools. This does not apply to Zone Schools which are in session on both October 8 and February 1st.

  • Oct. 26 is a Teacher Planning Day in non-Zone schools. This does not apply to Zone schools.  There is a Zone School Teacher Planning Day on June 13, 2008.

Although we were able to coordinate every other planning day, holidays and recess days, these dates were not able to coincide with the K-12 calendar.
